Dear IPOPT user community,

It is my pleasure to announce the release of CasADi v1.7.0beta. CasADi is a
symbolic framework for algorithmic differentiation, numerical optimization
and optimal control. CasADi is written in self-contained C++ code, but can
also be used through front-ends to Python and (still experimentally) Octave
without any significant speed penalties. The code is released under a
permissive open-source license (LGPL).

CasADi comes with a full-featured interface to IPOPT as well as other NLP
solvers. These interfaces will automatically generate first and second
order derivative information using state-of-the-art techniques for
algorithmic differentiation (AD).

In this release, we have made a major update on the support for NLP
solution in CasADi. There has also been major improvements in execution
speed and user-friendliness. New in this release is the distribution of
Python binaries for Windows and Linux. IPOPT is included in these binaries.

The software is now located on Github, please visit www.casadi.org for
instructions on how to download and install the code.

Best regards,
Joel Andersson on behalf of the CasADi team
