<span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.571428298950195px">It is my pleasure to announce the release of <span class="" style="background-color:rgb(255,255,204)">CasADi</span> v1.7.0beta. </span><span class="" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.571428298950195px;background-color:rgb(255,255,204)">CasADi</span><font face="arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.571428298950195px"> is a symbolic framework for algorithmic differentiation, numerical optimization and optimal control. </span></font><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.571428298950195px"><span class="" style="background-color:rgb(255,255,204)">CasADi</span> is written in self-contained C++ code, but can also be</span><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.571428298950195px"> used through front-ends to Python and (still experimentally) Octave without any significant speed penalties. </span><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.666666984558105px">The code is released under a permissive open-source license (LGPL).</span></div>
<div><font face="arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.571428298950195px"><br></span></font></div><div><font color="#222222" face="arial, sans-serif" style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.666666984558105px"><span style="font-size:12.571428298950195px"><span class="" style="background-color:rgb(255,255,204)">CasADi</span> comes with a full-featured interface to IPOPT as well as other NLP solvers. </span></font><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.666666984558105px">These interfaces will automatically generate first and second order derivative information using state-of-the-art techniques for algorithmic differentiation (AD).</span><br>
</div><div><br></div><div style>In this release, we have made a major update on the support for NLP solution in CasADi. There has also been major improvements in execution speed and user-friendliness. New in this release is the distribution of Python binaries for Windows and Linux. IPOPT is included in these binaries.</div>
