[Ipopt] using ipopt to solve a matlab NLP

Hi all,
i have a question about Ipopt interfacing with Matlab.
I have to solve a non-linear optimization problem given in Matlab
envoironment. the problem consist in some equations on a discrete  time
domain, an a objective-function to be minimized; with matlab i solve this
problem with fmincon, but i would like to do that with an external solver,
like ipopt.

how shoud i do that? do i have to create a mex file with the ipopt source
code ???

can anybody tell me how to do that???
