[Coin-discuss] BCP: releases and VC++ 7

Two questions regarding BCP:

1. Can current versions (as obtained via cvs) generally be regarded as
stable? I saw that sometimes tags were used in cvs to mark releases like
"release_2002-11-05". What is the general policy: Are major developments
(beyond error correction) always done on development branches and only
merged when they are considered stable?

2. BCP does not support MS VC++ 6 because - according to the FAQ - it lacks
some template functionality (anyone working with VC++ 6 won't be surprised).
VC++ 7 seems to be somewhat more state-of-the-art, especially in template
capabilities. Has anyone already tested on this platform or are tests
foreseen?

Thanks for any help,
Jörg
