Dear CMPL users,

Due to the extended requirements for the installation of applications on macOS Sierra I would like to explain how you can install Cmpl 1.11.1 on macOS Sierra.

1) You have to download the ZIP file for your operating system and to unzip it. Copy or move the extracted Cmpl folder to the folder of your choice (e.g. ~/Documents/Cmpl or /Applications/Cmpl )
2) Please open the terminal app: Launchpad > Terminal
3) Execute the following command: sudo spctl --master-disable. This disables Apple's Gatekeeper and allows Cmpl to run. You can enable Gatekeeper again with sudo spctl --master-enable.
4) Go to the parent folder in which you installed Cmpl. (e.g. cd ~/Documents or cd /Applications).
5) Execute the following command: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine Cmpl.
6) It is strongly recommended to deinstall older versions!

I know this procedure is quite complicated, but is only a workaround for the moment. We are working on a new release that allows to install Cmpl on this operating system as easily as before.

Thanks,

Mike
