[Ipopt] ipopt-3.9.2 and atlas-33.9.33 problem

Greetings,

I am attempting to compile ipopt-3.9.2 on a computer with these:-


--cpu -amd 64 - 2 cores
--o/s cblfs linuix-64bit  kernel-2.6.32 gcc-4.4.2
--BLAS: atlas-3.9.33 and lapack3.3.0

running configure results in he followingfg errors:-

checking whether user supplied BLASLIB="/usr/local/atlas/lib/libatlas.a" 
works... no
configure: error: user supplied BLAS library "/usr/local/atlas/lib/libatlas.a" 
does not work
configure: error: /bin/sh '~/Ipopt-3.9.2/Ipopt/configure' failed for Ipopt

I have the same results for the so lib of atlas.

All other programs I have compiled that needed a BLAS interface have 
successfully linked to  the atlas libraries I have installed.

Help would be appreciated.
