Dear COIN users,
This message is to notify everyone of a small change taking place soon
that will affect all COIN projects that use the automated build system.
Currently, all header files are installed in the include/ subdirectory
of the installation directory. In order to make it safer and easier to
install COIN software centrally in the usual locations on Unix operating
systems (i.e., /usr or /usr/local), we'll be changing the default
installation location for header files to include/coin/. This will keep
the COIN header files from flooding directories like /usr/local/include
after an install. However, it may require changes to include paths for
users who have built applications linking to previously installed
version of COIN packages. We'll make an announcement when this change
occurs and try to let you know exactly which versions of which packages
are affected. Please feel free to ask for clarification if the above is
not clear to you.
Happy Holidays!
Ted
