And one think I have already been doing is to add "bugfixes" in the 
coin.m4 that is pulled in. For example, libtool doesn't work on all 
platforms out of the box.  If there are tests missing, we could add them 
to BuildTools.  Also, I think there is a new version of autoconf, that 
might already have a number of bugfixes in it, but I didn't get to try it 
yet... :(
