I too am interested in the simplex solver.  What method will this solver
use?  Revised simplex or interior point?

I would be very interested in having an open-source LP solver as part of
COIN. I probably couldn't contribute to the coding in the near future,
but I'd be happy to comment/react to it and test/debug it.
