[Coin-lpsolver] using loadProblem

Has anyone tried to load problems directly using 
Osi[Clp]SolverInterface::loadProblem() rather than reading from mps files?  
It crashes when I try, using data that look valid to me.  Perhaps someone can 
point me to a simple example?
