[CHiPPS] Problem about AlpsTreeNode's index

Dear professors,
        I have two problems about the index of the tree node's index when
it is running on a cluster.

        First, does every tree node in the whole system search tree have
a unique   index,
        or nodes on different computers can have the equal index?
        I am now have to use the indexes of the tree nodes.

        Second,  Is there and easy way to store the Indexes of every node
of workers and send them to master?
