[Cbc] Cbc speedup over the last two years?

Yes we also build our tool around 2009, nevertheless we used GAMS so the version could be older. Futhermore, sometimes when the time for solving a MIP expired it did not return the best feasible solution. Now It works much better (2.7.5).
Kind regards

It's from before CbcSolver politely announced
its build date with every solve. Circumstantial evidence indicates
a version from late 2008, so it's older than I thought when I wrote my
initial message.

What specific version of Cbc were you using previously?

We were very pleasantly surprised to find a dramatic speedup in solving
our typical problem mix. Problems that used to run out of time (with
a timeout set to 1800 CPU seconds) now complete in just a few seconds.

Have other COIN/Cbc users and developers experienced such a marked improvement?
Should we be ecstatic ... or suspicious?
