Hi!
I'm testing the performance of a couple of mip-solvers. I use a mps
file I generated and processed it with cplex, lp_sove, glpsol and
symphony. I get a 4% solution gap in cplex after about 20 minutes.
Glpsol achieves a 11% gap after about 1 hour and lp_solve doesn't get
better than 42%. Symphomy though, doesn't even get an upper bound on
the same problem, using the same machine, but with *all* four cpus
(Xeon 3,2 GHz) after eight hours. I can not beleive that symphony
performs that bad. How can I speed up symphony? I tested all solvers
with default settings.
Martin
