I am trying to configure but I cannot get around the following
I am unsure as to why cl is not producing an executable ? Any idea on where
I can go with this ?

configure:1714: checking build system type
configure:1732: result: i686-pc-cygwin
configure:1773: checking whether we want to compile in debug mode
configure:1820: result: no
configure:2065: checking for C compiler version
configure:2068: cl --version </dev/null >&5
configure:2071: $? = 53
configure:2073: cl -v </dev/null >&5
configure:2076: $? = 53
configure:2078: cl -V </dev/null >&5
configure:2081: $? = 53
configure:2104: checking for C compiler default output file name
