Project managers-

If your project includes an LP/NLP/MIP solver or modeling component,
please take a look at this OR/MS Today survey and fill out an entry for
your project. This is an excellent opportunity to get exposure for your
work and for COIN-OR.

The deadline for submissions is April 15.

Please let me know if you fill out an entry or if you need any
assistance. Thanks for your attention and, as always, thanks for your
efforts and your support of COIN-OR.

Subject: 2013 Linear Programming Survey
Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2013 14:53:47 +0000

Dear Linear Programming Software Vendor:

In the upcoming June 2013 issue, OR/MS Today will publish a survey and
directory of linear programming software. The survey/directory will
serve as part of our continuing coverage of computing and software
issues. Many of you have participated in some of our previous software
surveys and directories, including the June 2011 LP software survey.
This survey will serve to update that effort.

The questionnaire for the 2013 linear programming survey is available
online at:
http://lionhrtpub.com/ancill/lpsurvey2013.shtml

The survey should only take a few minutes of your time to fill out. If
you are not the one who should fill out the questionnaire, please notify
the appropriate individual. In order to be included in the printed
version of the 2013 survey/directory of LP packages, you or a
representative from your company must fill out an online questionnaire
no later than April 15. There is no charge to have your product(s)
listed in the directory.

Surveys such as this provide a valuable service to our readership, which
includes upward of 30,000 operations researchers and management
scientists. At the same time, surveys give vendors an opportunity to
provide key information about their product to an interested audience.
Again, all listings are free.

As you know, LP is a key area of interest in the operations research
community. Our readers tell us they use OR/MS Today software surveys to
help them in their software purchasing decisions. Robert Fourer of
Northwestern University designed the questionnaire and will write a
brief introductory article to the LP survey. Patton McGinley, online
projects manager for OR/MS Today, will collect and compile the survey
data.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Peter Horner
