Hi Saeed,
In "Section" 4 in the COIN/Ipopt/doc/README.IPOPT file you can find a brief
description of the character following the ALFA(X) number:
ALFA(X) Step size for primal variables after line search.
If followed by 'h' or 'H', the filter has been augmented in
this iteration, and if 'f' or 'F', the filter has not been
augmented. Here, the capital letter is used if a step with
a second-order correction has been accepted.
If followed by 'K', a step in the 'KKT-reduction restoration
phase' has been taken. A '-' (dash) indicates that the
iteration has been aborted and the regular restoration phase
has been activated.
I hope this helps,
Andreas

hello
i have a question about IPOPT output ALFA(X),
as you see here:
ITER ERR MU ||C|| ||D|| ALFA(X) #LS ...
0 .100D+01d .100D+00 .141D+01 .000D+00 .000D+00 0
1 .201D+01d .100D+00 .671D-15 .169D+02 .100D+01H 1
2 .920D-02d .100D+00 .312D-05 .347D-01 .100D+01f 1
3 .399D-02p .200D-01 .537D-02 .133D+01 .100D+01f 1
4 .951D-03d .283D-02 .149D-04 .815D-01 .100D+01h 1
5 .149D-03d .150D-03 .257D-05 .262D-01 .100D+01h 1
........
each value of ALFA(X) is followed by
a char 'H' or 'f' or 'h' such as
.100D+01H or .100D+01f or .100D+01h
i read IPOPT.ReadMe file but i can't find what this means!
i see in it must be C_WATCH variable that is
some info about watchdog but i can't find more info
about meaning of each character.
can you help me?
thanks alot
