Hi:

I am new to this mailing list having recently discovered the CppAD
project. This looks like a very important project but it is released
under the GPL license. As the development in nonlinear programming
grows, I think this project should generate a lot of interest. However,
 most of the COIN-OR software is distributed under the CPL license and
the CPL is the suggested Coin license. It would be great to be able to
bundle this software with other COIN-OR projects for distribution.
However, I fear that mixing the CPL and GPL licenses will cause problems
and actually discourage use of the bundled software. How would other
users of the software feel about having this project released under the
CPL instead of the GPL?
