Hello,

unfortunately Couenne doesn't accept options via the AMPL interface. The only way to set a time limit is to create a file called couenne.opt with a line such as

time_limit 400

for a 400-second limit. The file must be in the same directory as where the command (AMPL, in this case) is launched from.

Hope this helps.

Pietro

Hello,

I have pretty big MINLP problem that I solve on Couenne using AMPL

The problem is that the problem runs for number of hours.

I wonder if it is possible to do either of the following:

1. After the problem breaks, have results displayed (run the command file), that might not be optimal, but seeing current primal value, it is good enough for me.

2. Have solver to stop and have the results displayed after primal value had reached certain desired value

3. Have a solver to display intermediate (current) variable values every x minutes (that one would be a perfect solution for me)

4. Have a time limit after which the solver stops and current solution

is displayed.

5. well I used:

option couenne_options "time_limit =x";

However, this manner don´t work.

Thanks for you.
