[Coin-discuss] COIN-OR-CHiPPS-Blis: Generate Variable

Hello,

My name is Youssouf HADHBI. PhD student in first year in Operational Research, Optimization and decision support within LIMOS laboratory, Clermont Ferrand-France. I am working on "Optimal Routing and Spectrum Assignment (RSA) problem in Real Size Flexgrid Elastic Optical Networks" subject. This project is supervised by : Mr. kerivin Hervé and Mrs. Annegret wagler.

To solve large RSA problem, I am working on COIN-OR High-Performance Parallel Search Framework CHiPPS (0.94.5). I read the "SCALABLE ALGORITHMS FOR PARALLEL TREE SEARCH" dissertation done by Mr Yan Xu and found it is very interesting for me and my project. I followed the same instructions given in VRP example and my solver works well. However, I am working on ILP program with exponentiel number of variables, to add new variables on each node of the tree search (if possible), I remarked that there does not exist a possibility to add variables in CHiPPS and exactly in BlisTreeNode class.

I will be very grateful if you could give me advice and ideas so that I can progress well during my thesis.
