[Coin-discuss] Compile of dip on AIX - help required

Hi Ted and all again,

Well, I rechecked out a fresh version again, just to be sure.

I pared back the compile line to be like so:

export CONFIG_SHELL=/usr/bin/bash
export OBJECT_MODE=64

./configure \
   --prefix=/lapps/local_Alper \
   ADDLIBS=" -lm -lpthread " \
   ADD_CXXFLAGS="-qrtti" \
   --with-cplex-incdir=/opt/ilog/cplex121/include/ilcplex \
   --with-cplex-lib="
/opt/ilog/cplex121/lib/power64_aix5.3_7.0/static_stl/libcplex.a
/opt/ilog/cplex121/lib/power64_aix5.3_7.0/static_stl/libilocplex.a  "

I removed the LIBS entries in the Makefile.in's files in Q

It fails here now:

checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C
compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.
configure: error: /usr/bin/bash './configure' failed for Data/Sample

and in config.log

configure:22819: configuring in Data/Sample
configure:22936: running /usr/bin/bash './configure'
--prefix=/lapps/local_Alper  '--prefix=/lapps/local_Alper'
'CONFIG_SHELL=/usr/bin/bash' 'OBJECT_MODE=64' 'ADD_CXXFLAGS=-qrtti'
'ADDLIBS= -lm -lpthread '
'--with-cplex-incdir=/opt/ilog/cplex121/include/ilcplex'
'--with-cplex-lib= /opt/ilog/cplex121/lib/power64_aix5
.3_7.0/static_stl/libcplex.a
/opt/ilog/cplex121/lib/power64_aix5.3_7.0/static_stl/libilocplex.a '
--cache-file=/dev/null --srcdir=.
configure:22941: error: /usr/bin/bash './configure' failed for Data/Sample

Nothing more detailed available.

Although I put in the ADD_CXXFLAGS at this point the default from the
configure script for the CXXFLAGS is:

configure: C++ compiler options are: -O -qarch=auto -qcache=auto
-qtune=auto -qmaxmem=-1 -bmaxdata:0x80000000 -qrtti=dyna
-qsuppress=1500-036 -qsuppress=1500-029 -qsourcetype=c++ -DNDEBUG

which has -qrtti=dyna

Also, we have in the past had our -bmaxdata set higher to 0x3f0000000
for other similar compiles. Is there a reason for keeping it down to
0x80000000 ?

Anyhow still broken. Any further suggestions?

Kind regards

Derek.
