Call for Nominations for Directors
COIN-OR Foundation

Elections for directors of the COIN-OR Foundation will be held in late
September and early October.  All Full Members of the Foundation are
eligible to vote; more information on membership can be found at
www.coin-or.org/foundation.html#membership.

Nominations are solicited for candidates for positions on the Strategic
Leadership Board (SLB) and the Technical Leadership Council (TLC).  COIN-OR
is continuing to evolve, and directors will have a significant influence on
the development of the Foundation.  Candidates should have an active
interest in COIN-OR and be committed to active participation in SLB or TLC
business.  For more information on the activities of and expectations for
directors, prospective candidates are encouraged to contact any of the
current directors listed at www.coin-or.org/foundation.html#slb.

Two directors each will be elected to the SLB and TLC.  There are no
eligibility requirements for these positions; in particular, membership in
COIN-OR is not required.  Users and contributors who are not themselves
project managers are particularly encouraged to run.

For all director positions, a candidate may be nominated by any member of
the Foundation.  Self-nomination is encouraged.  The nomination must be
seconded by a full member of the Foundation.  Incumbent directors are
eligible for nomination.

Nominations should be emailed to the president (president at coin-or.org)
and will be accepted through September 13, 2009.  Candidates must agree to
be nominated and will be contacted to provide a short biography and
statement to be distributed to the voters prior to the election.
