[Coin-discuss] how do I see SYMPHONY's compilation steps?

I can't get gdb to tell me at what line my application aborted.
Hexadecimal addresses don't do me much good.
When I do a make -n it claims to apply the -g flag,
but the result when I do it for real suggests otherwise.
How do I tell the make system to show me the compilation
commands when I do them for real?
