I think that for everyone default is minimization.
So what some solver do (cplex in particular) is to change the sign of the
objective function accordingly.
It seems that glpk and cpl fail to do that.

It is quite convinient to have an trustfull mps file.
With such file we could compare the problemes the miscealenous solver
understand and then determine is the problem come from the osi interface or
from the solver itself.
