Good to hear I'm not the lone Mac user out there!  I just recently got my Mac so I'm using the latest version of OS X (10.2.3).  The install should work as long as the OS has an appropriately recent version of the gcc tools.

I actually did a "cold" install of my changes prior to sending them to the list, so, hopefully, you won't have any issues.  It will be good to get an independent confirmation.
