I've attached a draft version of a "How You Can Help COIN" webpage.
The COIN webpages are obviously not generated by hand, so I didn't
worry too much about the exact formatting (also the images don't show
up, of course). I've also included just the text of the page below if
you'd prefer to look at that.
I think that having an additional page would be best, but we could
just incorporate these into the FAQ if people think that would be
better.
Everyone feel free to edit or heavily edit this draft.

There are several ways you can help make COIN better:

Download and use COIN
Our <A HREF="download.html">download page</A> describes how to
download COIN components. After downloading, read the INSTALL files
for instructions on installing.
Check out the <A HREF="documentation.html">documentation</A> available
to help in using COIN.
If you have any trouble, send us feedback!

Whether you're having a little trouble getting COIN to work, you've
found a bug, you have a suggestion, or you just want to let us know
about your experience using COIN, we'd like to hear about it.
In all these cases, send an email to <A

We'll try to answer any questions promptly, and all kinds of input
will help us improve COIN.
If you'd like to keep up with COIN developments or take part in
discussions about COIN, consider subscribing to one or more of our <A
HREF="mail.html">mailing lists</A>.
Contribute code or documentation
If you would like to contribute to COIN, we'd love to have your help.
For bug fixes or minor improvements to existing code or documentation,
just send an email with your contribution to <A
HREF="mailto:coin-discuss at www-124.ibm.com">coin-discuss at www-124.ibm.com</A>.
These changes are generally made fairly quickly.
If you have a larger contribution in mind, it would be best to make
contact before doing too much work. Send your idea to <A
HREF="mailto:coin-discuss at www-124.ibm.com">coin-discuss at www-124.ibm.com</A>
and someone will get back to you. If there is already similar work
underway, we'll put you in touch with the people who are working on
it. Otherwise, a core team member will contact you to discuss how
your idea can best be integrated into COIN. We also need to handle
some administrative details (such as confirming ownership of code)
before we can put new contributions in the distribution, so please be
patient during this process.
If you'd like to help but don't have a particular task in mind, we can
probably help you find one. First, however, you should get familiar
with COIN. <A HREF="download.html">Download</A> and try out the parts
that you're interested and subscribe to the coin-discuss <A
HREF="mail.html">mailing list</A> to get a sense of what's going on.
When you know what basic area(s) you'd like to help with, send an
email to coin-discuss indicating what parts of COIN you're most
interested in. We should be able to suggest something at that point.
