The COIN-OR Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2022 COIN-OR Cup
has been awarded to Francesco Ceccon (Imperial College London), Jordan
Jalving (Sandia National Laboratoriess), Joshua Haddad (Sandia National
Laboratories), Alexander Thebelt (Imperial College London), Calvin Tsay
(Imperial College London), Carl D Laird (Carnegie Mellon University),
and Ruth Misener (Imperial College London) for their work on “OMLT:
Optimization & Machine Learning Toolkit”.

OMLT is an open-source software package enabling optimization over
high-level representations of neural networks and gradient-boosted
trees. OMLT represents these machine learning (ML) structures in the
algebraic modeling language Pyomo, enabling their integration into
larger decision making tasks.

OMLT further bridges the gap between the world of machine learning and
that of operations research, paving the way for ML robustness
guarantees and verifiability against adversarial attacks using
mathematical programming.

The code can be accessed here: https://github.com/cog-imperial/OMLT
with the corresponding paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2202.02414

Our thanks to the 2022 COIN-OR Cup selection committee Smitha Gopinath
