Hi,

I am sorry, maybe I missed it, but was there a response to this e-mail?

Thanks a lot,

Subject: [Coin-lpsolver] fast compile for CLP project?

Hi John;

I run the same LP model ( mps file ) on the executable CLP in the
directory
of (Clp-1.3.3-win32-msvc8) and the CLP project in the directory
\Clp-1.3.3\MSVisualStudio\v6\Clp (where there are some other example
projects), but by using the same command "primals" or "solve" the
executable
CLP gets the optimal solution in 762.322 seconds and the CLP project
under
MSVisualStudio 6 took 193.912 seconds. Huge speed difference happened to
all
the models I tried.

What environment did the CLP executable get compiled and built? I am
using
the MS Visual Studio 6 under Windows XP. Will MS Visual Studio 8.0 give
the
much faster speed or there are some special settings to the project? I
tried
to change the optimization property to "maximize speed" in the project
settings, however it said the project option /ZI and /O2 is
incompatible.  I
tried some other settings in Debug info, but it said project option /GZ
and
/O2 is incompatible.

I would really appreciate your help in getting the same speed as
executable
CLP in order to write our own algorithm base on CLP to solve large scale

problems.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks again.
