	Thanks much, that helps quite a bit. Now that I know there's no prior
agenda, I can give myself a little flexibility designing the fix. I've tried to 
add a fair bit of documentation. I'll post a notice when I push it up to the 
Coin CVS tree. You may want to have a look to see that I haven't gone too badly 
off the rails.

	For what it's worth --- I got into this business as an Elec.Eng.
trying to write software for digital hardware design automation, and got my
start into optimization software reading the source code for Zoom/XMP and
la05 (and I recognize those Fortran anachronisms  :-).
