[Cbc] Cbc speedup over the last two years?

After procrastinating for months, we finally got around to rebuilding our 
application on the most recent stable version of the COIN/Cbc sources. Our 
last update was around two years ago.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find a dramatic speedup in solving 
our typical problem mix.  Problems that used to run out of time (with a 
timeout set to 1800 CPU seconds) now complete in just a few seconds.

Have other COIN/Cbc users and developers experienced such a marked 
improvement?  Should we be ecstatic ... or suspicious?
