[Cbc] setting options in AMPL doesn't seem to work

hi all,
i tried to install CBC (stable version 2.2) on my computer (windows xp; 
intel core duo t2300) using the instructions from 
https://projects.coin-or.org/Cbc. i'm also using the AMPL software and 
was successful in running the CBC executable by using the AMPL commands 
"option solver cbc" and "solve." However, I could not get to work 
setting the options inside AMPL, e.g. the AMPL command:

option cbc_options "sec=15";

has no effect, i.e. the CBC solver runs until it finds the optimal 
solution even though the time limit has expired. I tried running CBC on 
the command line using an MPS version of the AMPL model and setting 
options via the CBC interactive mode works.

i also experienced a similar problem in Bonmin, 
http://list.coin-or.org/pipermail/bonmin/2009-March/000172.html. again, 
i could not set the Bonmin options via AMPL but i could modify the 
options via the Bonmin.opt option file.

your help is greatly appreciated.
