[Bonmin] Using initial feasible solutions

Hello,

I would like to know how Bonmin uses initial feasible solutions. As
provided by the AMPL interface, one can pass initial variable values
to the solver.

Does Bonmin simply use the associated objective value as a cut-off
value or can it use the feasible point to provide some further
advantage to the solution process?

I found the post at

but some more information would be great.
