as far as I know the debian package is not build with ColPack support
and thus no sparse Jacobians and Hessians may be computed. You may still
be able to compute jac_pat and hess_pat though. Perhaps you should
contact the maintainer Barak A. Pearlmutter (bap at debian.org ) for
more information on his build configuration.
