<div dir="ltr"><div><font>After a brief hiatus, we are once again trying to use SYMPHONY across a small Linux (Ubuntu) cluster.<br><br></font></div><font>We believe PVM is install correctly with PVM_ROOT set.<br></font><div><font><br>Using <b>svn</b> to checkout release 5.6.6, we try <b>./configure --with-pvm</b> in the ~/SYMPHONY-5.6.6 directory. The message reads "Main Configuration of SYMPHONY is successful." Then, trying <b>make</b> fails with the message:<br></font></div><div><font>Makefile:7224: recipe for target "libSym_lp_cg_la-lp_wrapper.lo" failed.<br></font></div><div><font>make[2]: *** [libSym_lp_cg_la-lp_wrapper.lo] Error 1<br></font></div><div><font>make[2]: Leaving directory ~/SYMPHONY-5.6.6/src<br></font></div><div><font>Makefile:648: recipe for target "all-recursive" failed<br></font></div><div><font>make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1<br></font></div><div><font>make[1]: Leaving directory ~/SYMPHONY-5.6.6<br></font></div><div><font>Makefile:322: recipe for target all-recursive failed<br></font></div><div><font>make</font><font>: *** [all-recursive] Error 1<br><br></font></div><div><font>If we try the <b>./configure </b>step without the --with-pvm flag, then the configuration, <b>make</b> and <b>make</b> <b>install</b> steps are all successful.<br><br></font></div><div><font>Any suggestions on how we can proceed using --with-pvm?
