 The name lengths are hard-coded to 30 character arrays.

 I'm attaching a simple patch (for release 5.5.2) which extends the hard-
 coded limit to 130. This satisfies my needs, but I suspect more changes
 are necessary to support all use cases, and a more flexible limit is
 preferable.
