Thanks for the reply Tom. <br><br>I didnt give any special commands to configure. I just did ./configure to Ipopt and let the default script do the work. <br><br>In fact, I got the exact same error when I installed a virtual machine on my desktop with ubuntu on it. <br>

I saw an error like that once, but I don't remember what I was
doing. What command did you use for configure?<br>

Also, if you're using netlib BLAS, consider GotoBlas, which is BSD
licensed now. It's quite a bit faster. Note that if you build
