 The `get.Mumps` and `get.Metis` scripts fail to run on newer macOS
 versions (>=10.13). The reason seems to be that Apple has removed the
 `ftp` utility from macOS terminals starting with version 10.13. If you
 replace `ftp` with `"curl -L -k -O"` in those scripts things seem to work
 again and this solution should also be backward compatible with older
 macOS versions.
