 Why did you have to replace these files and by what did you replace them?

 There is a check for snprintf and _snprintf in configure, but it concluded
 that the function does not exist (in config.log, cl reports an unresolved
 external symbol link error).

 The 'make test' errors are the one you reported in #277, or different
 ones? In the latter case, what are the errors?
