#262: Ipopt fails to compile with WSMP 15.01.10
-------------------+------------------------
Reporter: pmota | Owner: ipopt-team
    Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Component: Ipopt
 Version: 3.12 | Severity: critical
Keywords: WSMP |
-------------------+------------------------
I tried to update Ipopt (3.12.3) to WSMP 15.01.10 but the configuration
 step failed:

 checking whether user-supplied WSMP library
 "/Users/pmota/Codes/wsmp-15.01.10-MacOS/lib/GNU/libwsmp64.a -lpthread
-L/usr/local/lib -lgfortran" works... configure: error: WSMP library
 /Users/pmota/Codes/wsmp-15.01.10-MacOS/lib/GNU/libwsmp64.a -lpthread
-L/usr/local/lib -lgfortran does not seem to work
configure: error: /bin/sh './configure' failed for Ipopt

I've always been able to compile Ipopt with WSMP. Before trying to upgrade
to the newest version of WSMP, Ipopt was working fine with WSMP 13.6.10 on
 both Mac OS and Linux.

 The WSMP manual states that:
"In Version 14, parameters AUX and NAUX have been removed from all
routines of the simple interface (described in Section 7). AUX and NAUX
will be removed from WSSMP and PWSSMP in a future version."

The removal of these parameters may the cause for the problem, but I'm not
sure. I didn't try any of WSMP's 14.x versions, though. I can contact
Anshul Gupta, the man behind WSMP, to get one of the 14.x versions for
testing. Anshul has always been very helpful.

For the record, we've always obtained very good performance with
Ipopt+WSMP on the very large systems we've been working for years, much
better than with the other linear solvers.

 Paulo Mota
