 I think what he meant is that the mex files in OPTI may use a different
 MUMPS than the mex files on the coin-or download page.

 The latter include a patch for MUMPS that can change the automatic choice
 of the ordering algorithm in MUMPS (the default lead to crashes in mumps
 on certain instances; as there seemed to be noone fixing it, we added a
 workaround). For the MUMPS in OPTI, we do not know if it includes this
 patch, but guess that its not.
 You could play with the [http://www.coin-
 or.org/Ipopt/documentation/node59.html#SECTION0001120050000000000000
 mumps_pivot_order] option to try out different ordering algorithms.
