 I don't see why you need to set ADD_CXXFLAGS.

 In the test directory of your build directory, try executing only the
 hs071_cpp binary and check if the output gives something useful.

 If not, do a debug build (configure --enable-debug) and run a test binary
 like hs071_cpp through a debugger to see where the segmentation fault
 occurs.
