 I am trying to use the binary distribution of Ipopt for OSX.  I am running
 OSX version 10.6.8 on an Intel MacBook Pro. The download produces a
 directory named

 Ipopt-3.10.1-mac-osx-x86_64-gcc4.5.3

 so that I am linking to the dynamic libraries coming with the gcc 4.5
 compiler from macports which seems to be 4.5.3 according to the ports
 ``list'' command.

 When I run ipopt from ampl, I get the error message


 ipopt(11229) malloc: *** error for object 0x1006e0ae0: pointer being freed
 was not allocated
 *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
 error running ipopt:
         termination code 6


 If I try to run ipopt all by itself, I get the message


 ipopt(11314) malloc: *** error for object 0x1006e0ae0: pointer being freed
 was not allocated
 *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
