--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
  Reporter:  bspivey            |       Owner:  ipopt-team
      Type:  defect             |      Status:  new
  Priority:  high               |   Component:  Ipopt
   Version:  3.5 (C++ Version)  |    Severity:  critical
Resolution:                     |    Keywords:  Installing IPOPT
--------------------------------+-------------------------------------------
Comment (by bspivey):

 Correction:: "subversion IPOPT download"

 Replying to [ticket:95 bspivey]:
 > Hello -- I installed IPOPT today and received two errors during the
 'make test' step. These were both recursive Error 1.
 >
 > Prior to configuration, I followed all steps to download IPOPT and third
 party software and all seemed well. I am using Cygwin with the subversive
 IPOPT download. The third party software I downloaded are Blas, Lapack,
 ASL, and HSL through wget - this should be satisfactory according to the
 instructions.

 > Configuration (OK): Although the configuration appeared successful
 (``configure: Main configuration of Ipopt successful''), the Blas files
 did not seem to be recognized during the configuration. The line mentioned
 -no instead of -yes when looking for Blas.
 >
 > Build (OK): I created a build directory inside the CoinIpopt directory.
 No errors appeared at the end of the build. "Nothing to be done for 'all-
 am'" appeared several times at the end. Two identical warnings appeared
 about 15 lines up: libtool: link: warning: library '....../libg2c.la' was
 moved.
 >
 > Make Test (Error): "Nothing to be done for 'all'" is mentioned nearly
 every other line. Two "all-recursive Error 1" errors appear at the end.
 >
 > Please let me know whether my installation has failed and how to correct
 and validate with the 'make test' step or whether you could provide
 another simple way to verify that it is working properly.
