Comment:

 Thanks, Anders, I followed your suggestion and create an operator=.  I
 decided not to rely on the automatic creation of the operator by the
 compiler, but coded it explicitly.

 It would be great if you could give it a try and see if it works for you
 now...

 This change in now in trunk and stable/3.5
