 Dear Coleagues:

 I am trying to build an ipopt executable (with cygwin) in which MA27 is
 replaced by MA57. The latest version of MA57 recommends linking it with
 the MeTiS package (http://www-
 users.cs.umn.edu/˜karypis/metis/metis/download.html). The experience of
 the developers of MA57 is that the choice of ordering can be quite crucial
 to performance so their default invokes logic that chooses automatically
 between the MeTiS ordering and a version of approximate minimum degree. In
 general, the MeTiS ordering gives the best results for large matrices and
 so they recommend that the user should ensure that this library is
 available. Now, MA57 is a fortran code and MeTiS is a C code. Has anyone
 actually compiled MA57 with MeTiS for IPOPT?
