Comment:

 In my setup with MSVS 8.0 I had no problems using nmake, and no missing
 symbols.  Same was reported by other users.  There is too few information
 in the ticket to determine why symbols were not found in your setting -
 possibly a setup with a number of different compilers.

 The Intel Fortran compiler is not available for free, which is the reason
 why I wrote the compilation script using f2c.

 I'm closing the ticket, since I cannot reproduce any problems.  If you
 still have problems please reopen, and provide more information (did you
 use the "configure" script or developer studio project files etc).
