[Dip] problem installing on Mac OSX (Yosemite)

Hi Hugh,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm working on understanding the
issue and on a longer-term fix, but for now, configuring with
"--disable-dependency-linking" should allow it to build and install
properly.
