[Dip] examples no longer working

Hi Kim,

I introduced a (serious) bug a few weeks ago by accident - that might
explain 0.81.*.

I fixed it at trunk a few days ago. If you have not updated trunk lately,
try that.

I am at the ICS conference - if I can get wifi in meetings rooms, I'll take
a look today.
