 Hi,

 I think I now know where the problem with the links comes from.
 Cgl trunk uses a very old release of Data/Sample (1.0.0) which does not
 use an advanced version of the COIN_EXAMPLE_FILES m4 macro.
 In the newer versions, there are no links created but the mps files are
 just copied if a MS or Intel compiler is used.

 Therefore, the solution is to update the Cgl externals to use more recent
 releases of the Data repositories (or just stable or trunk releases).

 However, the change proposed by Laci above I still think it should go into
 the Cgl code.
