Dear Colleagues,

Discussion has been running pretty low recently, after the conference
season and throughout summer. Hopefully we can rekindle it at the end of
the summer. In the meantime, for those interested in XML, there has been
a new release of the C++ version of the Xerces library for writing and
parsing XML. Xerces is an IBM/Apache product. This is the library I used
to write the ampl driver I sent out a few months back.

Of course, this is *not* what modeling language designers and solver
folks would be using. They would be using something similar to ampl's
asl library, which we would build using something like this.

Cheers,
Leo.
