Comment:

 If {{{-MTd}}} works also for the v6 and v7 compilers, we can switch.
 Otherwise, we would need to test which version of CL we are using
 (messy!).  I will contact JP regarding compatibilty of the options.

 There are a number of things that are currently being addressed.  Once we
 are though all of them, I can update all stable versions to ensure
 consistency.
